The body of water is a space to cry
With sea falling out my lids as torrential rain
Things remain constant in the waves of despair,
One thing I know for sure is I still made it here.
To see the sunset while neglecting rest
Beat of my own drum, fighting moments of duress
Things can always be better than what they seem,
So I’ll keep holding on to an age old dream.
The benefit of reward is never promised out my mouth
It hurts to know that I’ll be too timid to shout
A leader who can’t bring their own climax to a head
Instead, rather use it for things left unsaid.
Remember me, when it’s frigid and you’d rather hide out
Remember me when it’s time to make the most of it count
With life so ruthless we forget what the truth is
In death the tables turn with fruit going rotten
Down trodden on worries, making decisions with a hurry
Remember all this when the words get buried.
Carried away in a space of time
Writing similar or the same of previous rhymes
It can’t rain forever, and the sun must set
These are days I can never forget.
