Michaela Baldwin is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, and communications designer born & raised in Mississippi. She began her journey as a self-taught artist in 2019. As a young child, her exploration of creativity began with crafting through sewing, crochet, and jewelry making. She employs mediums like acrylics, oils, sculpting, digital illustrating, and writing to weave narratives that not only share untold stories but also celebrate the strength and resilience of black women. She explores emotional narratives through stimulating a person’s ego and perception.
“My mission is to share transformative acts in real time without perfection or contempt, to create a space that holds emotional truth, not performance; to build bodies of work that document the taboo: grief, rage, softness, surrender.”
